American Style Mashed Potato
Bahan-Bahan:
Ubi Kentang
Butter
Fresh milk/cream
Ground Black Pepper
A pinch of salt(jika perlu)
Cheddar cheese(shredded/hiris) **jika mahu*
Cara:
Bersihkan ubi kentang(buang kulit) tapi jgn dikerat. Rebus ubi kentang sampai empuk. Buangkan air rebusan tanpa mengeluarkan ubi kentang dari periuk. Panaskan semula dgn api paling kecil. Instantly, masukkan butter dan susu/krim dan lecekkan ubi kentang. Masukkan ground black pepper dan garam jika perlu. ***Tambahkan dengan keju cheddar jika mahu*** kacau hingga sebati dan ready to serve.Voila!!!
Cadangan Hidangan:
Perfect with steak, ayam panggang dll (sebagai pengganti kepada nasi). Hidangkan mashed potato di dalam mangkuk dan bolehlah di garnish dengan hirisan daun bawang,chives dan even cili merah.
Tambahan:
Perlu diingatkan, penggunaan susu/ krim, dan butter/margarine bergantung kpd kuantiti ubi kentang. Adjust lah mengikut kesukaan masing2. Jika mahu mashed potato very moist, lebihkan susu dan jika mahu kurangkan lemak, bolehlah substitute dgn susu kurang lemak,kurangkan sukatan butter, dan omit keju cheddar.

Amount Measure Ingredient -- Preparation Method
500ml milk (warmed)
3/4 cup rice
1/2 cup sugar
1 pinch salt
Wash the rice . Cook in one cup of boiling water until the water is
absorbed. Add cooked rice (or bulghour) to the warm milk and cook on a low
fire for 40 minutes, stirring frequently. Add the salt and sugar and cook
for 15 minutes. Continue stirring. Pour into individual dessert dishes and
cool. Sprinkle with cinnamon.
